Create a stronger password

A good password is long, unique, and unpredictable. This generator uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure random source, rather than ordinary pseudo-random JavaScript.

Recommended settings

• Use at least 16 characters for most accounts.
• Use a different password for every service.
• Keep all character groups enabled unless a site rejects specific symbols.
• Store passwords in a trusted password manager instead of a spreadsheet or notes app.

Passwords and passphrases

Random passwords are compact and strong but difficult to type. A long passphrase can be easier to enter manually. Whichever format you choose, uniqueness matters: reused passwords turn one breach into many compromised accounts.
